In order for faxing to operate, it’s important to have the proper fax hardware behind it.

Fax Machines, Servers, and Boards, as well as a large amount of telecommunications infrastructure make up the technology that allows us to communicate by fax.

Fax Machines

Fax Machines come in a variety of options, from home office to larger workgroup fax machines. The primary manufacturers of new fax machines are HP, Canon, Brother, Ricoh, and Xerox.

Fax Servers

Fax Servers vary in different ways, and can be from a small linux based computer running Hylafax to the immense servers that operate online fax services such as RingCentral and eFax.

Fax Boards

Fax Boards are the hardware that goes inside of a computer, and can come in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on the demand required.
