What is an MFP?
Last Update: August 9th, 2021
Definition
An MFP is an acronym for “Multi-Function Printer.” It is a printer that combined with a scanner, copier, or fax machine.
Usage
Office equipment has evolved from separate units with a single function to one unit with multiple functions.
A part of the change to digital, a multifunction printer (MFP) helps separate components work together. Both the scanner and the printer can work with the copier and the fax part of the unit. There is less duplication of devices in an office.
