What is Coded Dial?
Last Update: August 9th, 2021
Definition
“Coded dial” is a feature used as a shortcut to dial frequent fax numbers quickly. We’ve only seen the feature on Canon fax machines.
Usage
With coded dial, a fax number saves in the fax machine with a shortcut code. The coded dial feature can then dial the fax number with the shortcut code instead of dialing the entire fax number.
Coded dial is very similar to a speed dial feature, however, with more options and codes available.
